Isle of Wight New Years Eve Fireworks

One of the most‑recommended places is the esplanade at Sandown. You can take a position early along the seafront for the best views, with the fireworks display often arranged from the pier.

PRO TIP: If you’re planning to go, arrive early, pick a spot on the esplanade (or pier if accessible), and keep an eye on local updates in case weather or logistics affect the display.

Coming earlier to our island? Head to Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight for the 5 November Firework Night, a lively evening filled with lights and local flavour. Starting with a torchlight procession from the Square at 6pm and ending with a dazzling firework display at 7pm, it’s a wonderful celebration for all ages. And while it’s not the Isle of Wight New Year’s Eve Fireworks, this autumn event is just as magical — with tasty food, warm drinks, and a friendly island atmosphere that makes it well worth experiencing. Gather in Yarmouth to enjoy hot chocolate, local bites, and the sparkle of fireworks lighting up the November sky — a perfect taste of the island’s festive spirit before the year’s end.

For general fireworks info on the Isle of Wight, the official tourism site lists seasonal displays and notes that some island towns hold fireworks for New Year’s, but it’s best to check each year’s schedule.
