      My partner and I spent an unforgettable long New Year’s weekend at South Barn. The home is a striking contemporary retrofit of a former agricultural barn with a beautiful modern garden and sweeping views of the River Medina valley. It is spacious yet intimate, minimalist yet cosy. Underfloor heating and warm natural tones and materials throughout ensure a sense of comfort, while the high angled ceiling and large expanses of glass make the space feel like an extension of the landscape beyond. The kitchen is a pleasure to cook in, with plenty of counter space and all new appliances, and the open plan naturally lends itself to socialising and entertaining. Bedrooms are uncluttered with comfortable beds. Bathrooms are generously proportioned and have a clean aesthetic of functional luxury. Within easy reach of the RedJet ferry terminal in (West) Cowes, South Barn is also walking distance from a large supermarket. Highly recommended - we would definitely stay again!
