Isle of Wight Autumn Walking Festival

The Isle of Wight Autumn Walking Festival returns from Saturday 4 October to Sunday 12 October 2025, offering an enchanting chance to explore the island as it dons its autumn colours.
Organised by Visit Isle of Wight and sponsored by Outdooractive, this award-winning festival delivers guided walks for all abilities—whether you’re up for a gentle saunter, a family-friendly ramble, or a full-day trek.
Noteworthy highlights include themed walks such as “Joey’s Walk”, tracing the heroic 17-mile journey of an RNLI coxswain during a shipwreck rescue—ending with lunch at an island pub. You’ll also discover walks featuring local history, wildlife spotting, seasonal landscapes, and special guided tours like a dramatic Quarr Abbey stroll through woodland and abbey ruins with chances to spot red squirrels.
